Still lookin' for J & S...any suggestions?

Can anyone give me a suggestion as to where I can get my hands on a J & S at a reasonable price? As I understand, no current group-buys. Someone here suggested I e-mail so and so. I did, but lost the e-mail address and forgot who it was. Can anyone help me out? I'm ready to install the BTC, but want to install it along w/ the J & S.

yep. they're hard enough to get new as is. so good luck getting a used one. I have one I don't really need, but damn I feel like gave birth to it or something, cause I ain't gonna let it go.

I'm starting to feel real lucky that I found my used J&S on ebay. Keep in mind, you don't need the honda-specific J&S. I have a "universal" J&S which used to be mounted on a mustang (heresy). So, you might expand your search to the domestic car websites.

Just want to say thanks for taking the time to respond. These are very good suggestions. If all else fails and I'm looking to buy a new one, besides the high price, what should I expect? Huge back-order and long wait for delivery?

try posting a want ad over on thepartstrader.com. thats what i did, and i found a new one for about 420 with the dual monitor.

I'm still wondering...yes the J&S Safeguard is definately good since it protects your engine and retard timing one cylinder at a time providing optimal timing (thus power?).
But as far as protection, your stock car also has a knock sensor which will retard
timing if engine detonate (up to 4 deg??)
so if technically, as far as PROTECTION,
your stock knock sensor should do just fine of a job ( as far as you don't advance it more than 4 degs or the sensor doesn't have to retard more than 4 degs or whatever) right??????
